Cartpath Marker Identification System

Peachtree City is home to 90 miles of cartpaths throughout the city. Given the expanse of the cartpath system the City has begun a Cartpath Identification system initiative. Through the use of current GPS technology, cartpath Identification Markers will be located on each cartpath.

Due to the variety and technical complexities of various GPS systems the City of Peachtree City does not provide technical support for the GPS data files provided here. The files are provided "AS-IS" and neither the City of Peachtree City nor its agents shall be held liable for any errors, omissions or issues with the data. Use this data at your own risk. GPS data to Mobile Phone

  • 1. Using your Mobile Phone; open a web browser and connect to this website @ "http://maps.peachtree-city.org"
  • 2. Navigate to this page via the GPS tab
  • 3. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click on one of the available data files. IE., City Hall, Library, etc
  • Note that your Mobile Phone must be able to support Google Maps

Creating Custom Maps in Garmin

Garmin just released (October 2009) a beta software update for the Garmin Colorado, Oregon (200, 300, 400 and 550), and Dakota devices. If you own either a Garmin Colorado, Oregon, or Dakota: click the Cartpath overlay KMZ file below and save to your desktop. Finally, following the instructions provided in the link above, send the saved cartpathoverlay.kmz to your Garmin.
